According to a joint ministry decision published in the Government Gazette, flights with the UK and Turkey are temporarily cancelled until 15 April as part of measures taken to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 corona virus. Moreover, all types of air, land and rail transportation with Turkey have also been halted.
Exceptions that are not covered by the ban are as follows:
a) Greek citizens, those with residence permits in Greece, those with residence in Greece
b) Trucks and hauliers carrying commercial load
c) Ships carrying commercial cargo
On the other hand, starting today at 6:00 a.m., curfews are imposed all over the country.
Citizens will only be able to go out on the street under the following conditions and with the exit permit, where the details can be found at the https://forma.gov.gr/:
a) Round trip to work during working hours
b) After the necessary communication has been established to the pharmacy or doctor
c) For the purchase of emergency necessities
d) To go to the bank to perform transactions that cannot be done electronically
e) For participation in funerals, weddings, baptisms and similar ceremonies under the conditions stipulated by the law
f) Outdoor sports workout or to take a pet tour
g) To go to permanent residence
