As ABTTF, we condemn in the strongest terms the abominable attack against the Imathia (Veria) Province Muslim Education, Culture and Sport Association, and call for the perpetrators to be immediately identified and brought to justice.
An association, which was founded by Turks who emigrated from Western Thrace to Imathia, was attacked on 25 September 2020. According to the Birlik newspaper, unidentified person or persons forced the door of Imathia (Veria) Province Muslim Education, Culture and Sport Association and later broke its windows.
In a statement, the association president Hüseyin Hüseyinoğlu condemned the attack and called on the authorities to clarify as soon as possible the attack and for the perpetrators to be apprehended.
As the Federation of Western Thrace Turks in Europe (ABTTF) and on behalf of all Western Thrace Turks living in Europe, we condemn in the strongest terms the abominable attack against the Imathia (Veria) Province Muslim Education, Culture and Sport Association. We want the perpetrators of this outrageous attack, which was clearly made with the goal of creating fear and anxiety among the Western Thrace Turks living in Imathia province, to be immediately identified by the police and brought to justice.
