As ABTTF, we strongly condemn this racist and Islamophobic attack on the DITIB Fatih Mosque and demand the perpetrators to be captured as soon as possible and brought to justice.
A mosque in the vicinity of Stuttgart in Germany was attacked. Two unidentified persons left hanging a pig’s head at the door of Fatih Mosque of the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB) in the evening of Saturday 16 May 2020 and quickly fled the scene afterwards.
The Chairman of the DITIB Fatih Mosque Association Latif Pekmezci said in a statement the attack was reported to the police, indicating that the police examined the scene and launched an investigation into the attack.
As the Federation of Western Thrace Turks in Europe (ABTTF), we strongly condemn this racist and Islamophobic attack on the DITIB Fatih Mosque and demand the perpetrators to be captured as soon as possible and brought to justice. We call for immediate steps by the official authorities to prevent racism and Islamophobia in Germany and Europe which have reached alarming heights today.
