FUEN website serves now in Turkish!

The website of the Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) to whom Federation of West-ern Thrace Turks in Europe (ABTTF) is member, is also in Turkish! It is now possible to get any information about FUEN and its activities in Turkish through FUEN website that now has Turkish language option along with already-existing English, Danish, German, Russian, French and Hungar-ian languages.

Being established in Paris in 1949, the same year as the Council of Europe, FUEN is an umbrella organisation composed of 90 minority associations from 32 countries. FUEN brings together na-tional and ethnic minorities in Europe and works to promote and protect their traditions, rights, culture, language and identity by advocating the rights of its members at international platforms.

The Working Group for Turkic Minorities (WGTM) was set up in 2013 in addition to the existing Working Groups for Slavic and German Minorities under FUEN umbrella. The first meeting of the member organisations of WGTM was held on November 2014. After the establishment of WGTM, the Turkish language option was added to FUEN website. FUEN website is now available in 7 lan-guages and those who are interested in FUEN activities may now follow them in Turkish.
