Objectives
Federation of Western Thrace Turks in Europe (ABTTF), as a civil society organization, advocates a pluralistic, democratic and liberal society governed by rule of law. ABTTF carries out its activities in line with German federal laws and is independent of political parties, state authorities and governments.
Mission Statement
- Support efforts for solution of problems of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority
- Taking initiatives in defense of fundamental rights and freedoms of the Minority
- Strengthening solidarity among Western Thrace Turkish Minority members living in Europe
- Organizing conferences, events, exhibitions and conducting cultural and scientific studies for survival and maintenance of Western Thrace Turkish Minority's cultural values.
- Providing guidance and information via conferences and seminars to members of the affiliated associations
- Develop and mobilize collective work for a more prosperous community of Western Thrace Turkish Minority
- Contribute to development of friendship and cooperation in Turkey-Greece relations by establishing partnerships with various organizations
- Initiate works and studies in order to maintain Western Thrace Turkish Minority's culture in Europe
- Support the members of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority in defense of their legal, political and socio-cultural rights as well as throughout the economic difficulties faced.
- Showing inexhaustible endeavors for the Minority to be able to exercise its rights on an egalitarian basis.
