ABTTF President: “We expect and demand the government to show the same goodwill towards our community, and to produce solutions to our issues that have been going on for years, especially those related to education, freedom of association and religious freedom, in dialogue with our community, not despite it’’.
Speaking to Greek State Television ERT, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis pointed out that bilateral relations between Türkiye and Greece have recently normalised and indicated that the application that will provide visa exemption for Turkish citizens tourists to enter the territory of ten islands in the Aegean Sea will start next March.
Noting that they will approach the issues between the two countries in the Aegean Sea in good faith, Mitsotakis added that they will also benefit from the generally optimistic atmosphere, as this has already created a significant positive impact in itself.
“It is pleasing that the rapprochement in bilateral relations between our motherland and our country has continued to increase recently, following the official visit of the president of our motherland Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Athens last December. In his latest statement, our country’s Prime Minister Mitsotakis explained that they would approach the issues in the Aegean in good faith. We expect and demand the government to show the same goodwill towards our community, to produce solutions to our issues that have been going on for years, especially those related to education, freedom of association and religious freedom, in dialogue with our community, not despite it, and to respect our rights.
